About Big Daddy’s BBQ
Until 2006 I was a backyard BBQ enthusiast. For years now I have been studying the art of BBQ and feeding family and friends. It wasn’t until my sister asked my wife and I to cater her wedding did I ever think about turning my hobby into a business.
After dinner was served I had a couple come to me and ask, “will you cater my birthday party?” It was that day that Big Daddy’s BBQ catering was born. I never realized how much I would enjoy catering. My wife and I have become a strong team. She handles a lot of the sides items while I take care of the BBQ. Big Daddy’s BBQ is a true family business.
Our vow has always been to keep it simple. We have taken our approach to competitions as well. Last year we competed in the Idaho State BBQ championships and placed 2nd in Ribs, 2nd in Brisket and 8th overall in a field of nearly 30 teams. It was a kick! We met a lot of great people and got to sample a lot of great BBQ.
This year we added concession to our growing family. We started out feeding the masses on a very small scale and have moved into large scale events. Look for us at auctions, rodeos and festivals all year long. Hope to see you soon!
